Simonds Introduces a New Red Streak®
Tooth Shape
Simonds is pleased to introduce a new tooth shape for all
1" TS Red Streak® Narrow Kerf Band Saw Blades.
This improved design, pictured below, is the result of recent
investments in state of the art manufacturing equipment. This
will be a replacement rather than an addition to the current
offering. Part numbers will remain the same for more convenient,
accurate ordering.
The following are now in stock with the improved tooth shape
- 52-577920 1 1/4" x .042 x 1" TS Hard Back 52-577900
1 1/4" x .042 x 1" TS Flex Back 52-580000 2" x
.035 x 1" TS Flex Back
The new, improved tooth shape features:
- Increased gullet capacity
- Aggressive 13 degree cutting angle
- Stronger tooth shape with a more dramatic back angle
- Consistent tooth spacing for easier re-sharpening

RED STREAK - Hard Back Style
A great heavy duty band saw blade. Recommended for high
production/high feed rate operations, scragg mills, and for
processing large cross sections requiring wide guide
spacing. Our 7/8" T.S. is well
suited for processing logs on portable sawmills.
